4: Creating the Demonstration System Forms

4.8 Restoring the Data Files

If, you have modified the contents of the RMSfiles, you may wish to restore them to their original state (i.e., so that they are identical to the actual Demonstration Subscription System data files). To do so, simply select choice R- Return to Toolkit menu from the Data Entry Forms Menu and press RETURN. Then, from the Toolkit Menu, select choice 1 - Data Files Menu.

From the Data Files Menu, select choice M2 - Copy Definition and Data and press RETURN. Toolkit displays a parameter form asking you for the logical name of the RMSfile you wish to copy and the file you wish to create. Enter demo~mag as the file to copy. Enter mag as the file to create.

Press the STORE <F5> key.

Since the file you entered as the file to be created already exists toolkit requests that you confirm the copy with a parameter form.

Press the STORE <F5> key.

Toolkit informs you of the progress of the copy with messages as follows:

Press RETURN.

Once this is done, the Data Files Menu is redisplayed, and you must repeat the steps outlined in the preceding paragraphs for each of the remaining RMSfiles (i.e., script and sub) making the appropriate substitutions of logical file names. You may then redisplay the Toolkit Menu by selecting choice R - Return to Toolkit menu from the Data Files Menu.
