GETFORDER C-3

NAME

getforder - get input date order

SYNOPSIS

#include <cbase/dtypes.h>

int getforder()

DESCRIPTION

Getforder returns an integer indicating the order that date values should be interpreted when an ambiguous form is used. This function is called by fatodate when the input does not match the format.

The supported values are:

Order Format

0 m/d/y (USA)

1 d/m/y (Europe & Canada)

2 y/m/d (Japan)

The use of this function allows a string of 6 digits with or without separator characters (01/02/86 or 010286) to be interpreted correctly.

The input date order is retrieved from the country format structure (see fcountry(C-3)).
