For example, to see the balances for account number 101 in the year 1982, select the QUERY button or press <F2>, and enter 1982 in the Year field and 101 in the Account field as shown below.
Select the FIND button or press <F3>. All the debit amounts, and all the ending balances for each period in 1982 appear on the screen as shown:
Debit totals and ending balances are displayed for periods 1 through 4. Remember that amounts are not displayed for a period until the Trial Close process has been run for the period. As you can see period 2 has a debit total of $2,500.00 and an ending balance of $4,000.00. The credit total for period 2 is the difference between the ending balance and the ending balance of the previous period, plus the debit total, or $3,500.
