puljctrx0100: cannot open [master | header | detail] file for file
The system cannot open the file specified for the reason described by error message. The following table lists the ledger codes for the journals that may be accessed.

The field list for file cannot be set for the reason specified by system error message. Refer to Table 26 - 2 above for a list of the journals accessed by this process.
puljctrx0120: system error message
puljctrx0120: cannot lock [header | detail] file for file
The system error message gives the reason why file cannot be locked. Refer to Table 26 - 2 above for a list of the journals accessed by this process.
puljctrx0200: invalid period
Valid periods are numbers in the range of 1 through 12.
dtpy####: error message
puljctrx0210: can't find dates for accounting period
The year and period entered to start this process cannot be found in the closing dates file, closedat. The dtpy error gives more specific information on the problem. Refer to the General Error Messages section for a description of the dtpy error.
bopen####: error message
putjctrx0100: cannot open [header | detail] file for file
The system cannot open the file file for the reason described by error message. Refer to bopen in the General Error Messages section. At this point the process is preparing to update the Work in Process journal by opening and locking the Work in Process header and detail files as well as the Job Cost master file. Refer to Table 26 - 3 in the Accounting Files section for a listing of the files and their ledger codes.
putjctrx0110: system error message
putjctrx0110: cannot set [header | detail] file field list for file
The field list for file cannot be set for the reason specified by system error message. The process is about to update the Work in Process journal. At this point it is opening the necessary files: the Work in Process header file, the Work in Process detail file, and the Job Cost master file. Refer to Table 26 - 3 in the Accounting Files section for a listing of the files and their ledger codes.
putjctrx0120: system error message
putjctrx0120: cannot lock [header | detail] file for file
The system error message gives the reason why file cannot be locked. At this point the process is preparing to update the Work in Process journal by first attempting to open the Work in Process header and detail files as well as the Job Cost master file. Refer to Table 26 - 3 in the Accounting Files section for a listing of the files and their ledger codes.
putjctrx0200: invalid period
Valid periods are periods in the range of 1 through 12. A number outside of this range was entered at the beginning of the process.
dtpy####: error message
putjctrx0210: can't find dates for accounting period
The process is unable to determine the first and last day of the period entered at the beginning of the process. The dtpy error describes the error in more detail. Refer to the dtpy error in the General Error Messages section.
lgr####: error message
putjctrx0220: cannot access ledger file
The process is unable to access the data in the ledger file for the reason given by the lgr error message. Refer to the lgr error in the General Error Messages section.
putjctrx0230: period period year is closed
The period in year is closed. You cannot run this process on a closed period.
putjctrx0300: system error message
The process was unable to insert a record into the work in process header file for the reason described by the system error message.
putjctrx0400: system error message
putjctrx0400: can't find job job in job master file
The process cannot access job job in the job file for the reason given by the system error message.
post####: error message
putjctrx0500: run cancelled due to above error
The process was not able to successfully trial post a work in process detail transaction for the reason given by the post error. Refer to the post error in the General Error Messages section.
putjctrx0510: system error message
putjctrx0510: run cancelled due to above error
The process was not able to insert a work in process transaction into the work in process detail file for the reason given by system error message.
putjctrx0600: system error message
The process was unable to create the detail portion of a work in process transaction. It then failed to remove the header part of the transaction for the reason specified by system error message.
putjctrx0610: system error message
The process ran into problems while creating a work in process transaction. In attempting to remove the partially created transaction it was unable to remove all of the detail records belonging to the transaction for the reason specified by system error message.
putjctrx0620: journal file needs cleaning do not proceed.
There are some unbalanced work in process transactions in the system. See your system administrator.
post####: error message
putjctrx0710: cannot unpost record key record from previous run.
The work in process transaction record key that was created in a previous run of this process for the current period cannot be unposted for the reason specified by the post error. Refer to the post error in the General Error Messages section

The last part of this process is the posting of the work in process transactions. The system error message gives the reason why the system cannot lock one of the work in process journal files.
posttrx0400: System error. journal is out of balance
posttrx0400: After fixing the posting problem, run:
posttrx0400: posttrx journal code
posttrx0400: to rebalance the journal.
The work in process journal is out of balance because the posting process did not successfully complete. See your system administrator.
posttrx0500: unknown option argument
The Job Cost menu has been changed so the command to post the work in process transactions is incorrect. See your system administrator.
dtpy####: error message
posttrx0510: Invalid year and period
The process is preparing to post the newly created work in process records. The dtpy message describes why it cannot calculate the starting and ending dates of the period entered at the beginning of the process. Refer to the dtpy error message in the General Error Messages section.
posttrx0520: Must specify both year and period
Either the year or the period was not specified at the beginning of the process.
lgr####: error message
posttrx0530: No such journal code
The the work in process journal code is not in the ledger file. Enter it through the menu choice Accounting System Journals on the System Set Up menu. Refer to Table 26 - 3 in the Accounting Files section to obtain the ledger code and file names for the Work in Process journal.

posttrx0600: System error. Could not post record in journal
This error occurred while the process was trial posting a work in process header record. Refer to the post error in the General Error Messages section for more information on the posting problem.

This error occurred while the process was trial posting a work in process detail record. Refer to the post error in the General Error Messages section for more information on the posting problem.
posttrx0620: System error. transaction in journal is out of balance by amount
The process has just run a trial post on transaction in the work in process journal and has found that it is out of balance by amount. This means that the amount in the header portion of transaction is not equal to the sum of the transaction detail records.

This error occurred while the process was trying to post the detail portion of transaction in the work in process file. The header portion of transaction has not been posted yet. The post message describes the problem it encountered. Refer to this message in the General Error Messages section. The process will wait for 10 seconds and then try again to post the transaction. It will continue this procedure until it has either successfully posted the transaction or the process is interrupted. (If the process is interrupted, the posttrx0400 message is displayed).
