29.6.3 Hourly Deduction

Some states have disability insurance that is based on the number of hours worked. In this case, a certain hourly amount is multiplied by the number of hours worked; the hourly amount can be common to a class of employees regardless of the actual hourly rate paid to the employee. A deduction of this type would appear as follows:

Some employees may elect to donate a number of hours they work to some form of charity. In this case, the deduction takes the number of hours indicated at the hourly rate of the employee. A sample deduction of this kind would look like this:
