longtoa - convert LONG to ASCII
#include
char *longtoa (l)
LONG l;
Longtoa converts the LONG value l to its ASCII representation and
returns a pointer to that string. The format returned by
getfint(C-3) provides the format
to convert the LONG value.
Longtoa removes all leading blanks from the resulting string
before returning the result.
The parameter passed to longtoa must be a long integer (long).
This is not necessarily the same as just integer (int). To make
sure the correct value type is passed, the parameter should
always be cast as a long:
s = longtoa ((long) counts);
getfint(C-3), flongtoa(C-3),
atolong(C-3)

DIAGNOSTICS
If the format is invalid, a pointer to an empty string is
returned.
The return value points to static data whose contents are
overwritten with every call.
