NAME

realtoa - convert REAL to ASCII

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION

Realtoa converts the REAL value r to an ASCII string with the
format returned by getfreal(C-3). Realtoa returns a pointer to
the string. Realtoa removes all leading blanks from the resulting
string before returning the result.

DIAGNOSTICS

If the format is invalid, a pointer to an empty string is
returned.

NOTES

The return value points to static data whose contents are
overwritten with every call.
