After an order has been entered into the system, it must be filled before it can be shipped and billed. Orders can be filled by the computer (see Chapter 10, The Order Entry Process) or they can be filled manually using the packing slip screen. The packing slip screen is also used to make adjustments to the computer filled packing slips.
When an order is filled, a packing slip is made that describes what is to be shipped. An order that is partially filled has multiple packing slips: one for each time the order was filled. The system keeps track of what has been filled, and what is left to be filled.
To access the packing slip file, select the option Packing Slips from the Data Entry, Order Entry Menu.
