The Sales Representative master file contains personnel information such as name, address, and phone number. The sales force may include people not on the payroll, but each sales representative must have a record in the Sales Representative master file before sales can be credited to him or her.
The Sales Representative screen and the Employee screen in the Payroll System are nearly identical. Only some field titles are different. The records created using these screens are stored in the same master file. In addition, only the Sales Representative screen allows entry into the sales commission fields.
Selecting Sales Representatives on the Select, Order Entry menu displays:
