7.15 Using Rptcopy

The rptcopy command copies from an existing logical reportfile and either creates a new logical reportfile or copies to an existing reportfile. The syntax of this command is:

c:\> rptcopy [-cenvy] [-C comment] [-D directory] [-P boolean] lrptfile1 lrptfile2

In addition to copying reports, the -c flag converts a visual reportfile to a text reportfile containing Report Writer code. The text reportfile created can then be modified with more extensive report programming. Rptcopy invokes preport(C-1) to convert a visual into a text report.
